Nothing Lasts Forever

Nothing Lasts Forever? Or does it?

Sometimes we find ourselves in a situation in which we thought we took care of something; however, it is back! If you worked hard in the gym and were persistent with proper nutrition, you probably lost weight. However, if you got comfortable in your skinny jeans and then started to wavier in your pursuit of nutritional excellence, those pounds sneak back on.

You may have had braces on your teeth for two years. On the miraculous day you got them off, you thought, “Good, we re all set here” just to find out if you don’t wear a retainer that your teeth will slowly shift back to the starting position.

I am sure you get the point. I want to focus on the importance of maintenance care and how it can prevent you from ever having a “blow-out” that the severity of the pain can bring you to your knees and down to the floor. So before you rush to get one of those “Help, I have fallen and I can’t get up” beepers, read on!

Chiropractic adjustments are very beneficial for most neck, back and many joint conditions. It can provide relief of many symptoms, increases range of motion and increase in function. However, we need to also stabilize our spine with core stabilization exercises to prevent re-injury or to prevent that injury from coming back.

If you properly stabilize your core muscles you will add benefits that will save you time and money in the future, but again, NOTHING LASTS FOREVER! Even if your core is stable and strong; there are events that can cause you to need an adjustment. You sleep in a kinked position; you had to sit in a chair made for a five year old at your niece’s kindergarten graduation, and so on. There are obstacles to overcome everyday; however, if you have regular spinal adjustments and work toward a more stable core, you can maintain your good health for a longer period of time and see fewer doctors. Just remember, “NOTHING LASTS FOREVER!”
